Good afternoon,
Asheville ATCT has advised that an overnight power outage is scheduled during non-operational hours. During this outage, the airport beacon and windcone will be out of service, and the ASOS will not be broadcasting.
Pilots should obtain pre-flight weather via the ASOS phone line at 828-202-3316 during the outage period.
Additional overnight outages are expected in early December as part of the ongoing construction efforts. Thank you for your continued patience as AVL moves toward completion of its new tower, scheduled for occupancy in summer 2026 (June–July).
