IA renewal applications will open in IACRA on February 1, 2023 but will not be processed until the month of March. Using IACRA for your IA renewal helps cut down on errors and ensures a timely re-authorization. If you are not an IACRA account holder, use the guide to help you set one up.
2023 IACRA IA Renewal User Guide
The guidance used by FAA personnel to review Inspection Authorization renewals has been recently revised. IA’s will find it helpful to look at this document to better understand what the FAA is looking for in an IA renewal. Interested IA’s may find the guidance on the FAA’s Dynamic Regulatory System (DRS) under the category Order 8900.1, Flight Standards Information Management System, 8900.1 Contents, Volume 5, Chapter 5, Section 8.
