Due to the upcoming runway closures at the nearby airports of Oconee Regional Airport and the Pickens County Airport, which are tentatively scheduled to begin in September, the Anderson Regional Airport (AND) will experience a significant increase in traffic, especially during Clemson University's Home football games on the following weekends:
- September 16, 17 & 18
- September 30, October 1 & 2
- October 21, 22 & 23
- November 11, 12, & 13
- November 18, 19, & 20
- November 25, 26 & 27
To accommodate the increase in traffic at AND, there will be a temporary control tower for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday of each home game weekend. Therefore, pilots must check NOTAMS for temporary control tower times of operation and any other restricted airport activity.
Please exercise heightened vigilance during operations and check the NOTAMS for AND operations and for specific runway closure dates at Oconee Regional Airport and Pickens County Airport.
