New York City Special Flight Rules

New rules for the New York City area take effect on November 19, 2009
On November 19, 2009, the FAA will implement a comprehensive set of new rules that significantly enhances safety in the area around New York’s Hudson River. These safety changes modify procedures to the exclusionary zone that overlies the Hudson River. Key focus areas include airspace structure, pilot operating rules, entry and egress points, standardized area charts and pilot training.
