Portland Intl. Airport (PDX) Runway Closure - Letters to Airmen 09-01 and 09-02
This notice expired on
Sunday, November 1, 2009

Portland International Airport (PDX) is in the process of a multi year, multi phase runway/taxiway improvement project.  The current phase closes Runway 28R/10L to extend the runway length and for surface improvements.  This will affect aircraft flying into and out of PDX.  IFR operations at PDX and the surrounding area airports (including practice approaches) will be affected, particularly during peak traffic periods and/or during actual IFR weather conditions.  VFR aircraft transiting the Class C Airspace could also be affected.  Please review the two attached Letters to Airmen (09-01 and 9-02) for details.  VFR aircraft operating in the vicinity of PDX are still encouraged to contact PDX Approach for flight following.  This will enhance safety and help keep IFR and VFR operations more efficient.
