Notice for Pilots Flying Into 9Y2 (East Gull Lake) and Steam Boat Bay Seaplane Base (M16) on Friday, May 20, 2016
On Friday, May 20, 2016 from 1630 to 1930 CDT, the Minnesota Seaplane Pilot's Association will be hosting an airshow consisting of aerobatic demonstrations and fly-by's near Madden's Resort on Gull Lake. As a result, there will be a NOTAM published which will close the airspace to unauthorized aircraft.
This will affect operations to and from the East Gull Lake Airport (9Y2) and the Steam Boat Bay Seaplane Base (M16).
The airspace closure will be be located on the Brainerd (BRD) VOR 277º radial, at 14.5nm DME, with a 2nm radius, and extend from the surface up to (and including) 6,000ft AGL. Please see the linked graphical depiction for clarification.
Reminder: Pilots are responsible for obtaining current NOTAM status and dimensions prior to flight.
