The Federal Aviation Administration changed the frequency used for South Denali Flight Advisories to 123.65. The purpose of this action is to ensure clear Common Traffic Advisory Frequency (CTAF) communications for pilots in the South Denali Flight Advisory area.
The new advisory frequency was effective October 27, 2005; this is the second notice. Information in the Alaska Supplement is current. However, the chart that was published jointly in 1999 by the National Park Service and the FAA Aviation Safety Program Office is no longer current. Anyone still possessing a copy of that chart should make a pen and ink change or discard the chart. Use of that chart should be discontinued until it is updated.
Local NOTAM's have been issued and that will be briefed at AFSS's or FSS's to pilots who file flight plans.
