KABE Approach Frequency Change

On June 30th, 2011, Allentown Approach will lose frequency 118.2 MHz.  This has been their frequency for aircraft at 3000 ft and below for many years.  They will begin transitioning to the use of frequency 119.65 MHz for 3000 ft and below about mid-June; check the Automatic Terminal Information Service (ATIS) at Lehigh Valley International Airport.  Above 3000 ft will continue to be 124.45 MHz for all of Allentown approach airspace, both North and South of KABE. 
 
Databases are being updated.  Notices to Airmen (NOTAMs), if appropriate, will be issued.  The New York Sectional is not expected to be updated until the November 2011 issue.
