"Get Ready for August, The Most Dangerous Flying Month of the Year" is a special presentation of the Hangar Flying Series airing on KAKM Channel 7 in July 2009. The presentations will be over three weeks and consist of interviews with local aviation industry personnel. They will air during the Alaska Weather broadcast at 5:30 p.m.

On 7/10/09, Pete Devaris, FAA, will present, "Don't Be an August Statistic."  On 7/17/09, Bart Stone, DOI, discusses "Off-Airport Training and Techniques." And finally, on 7/24/09, Terry Smith will talk about "Personal Experiences in Off-Airport Operations."
