Beginning April 1, 2026, Flying Cloud Airport will be changing to dual local control when the Control Tower is in operation.
Each parallel will have a discrete frequency. The South parallel will use 119.15 and the North parallel will use 125.2. This is being done to improve safety and ease of communication with the increase in traffic at Flying Cloud Airport. When the Tower is closed, 119.15 will be used for local control, and frequencies for Ground, Approach and Pilot Controlled lighting will remain the same.
This information will be available on the ATIS during the change.
Several VFR reporting points will also be changed. This is being done to make them easier to see, especially for transient pilots.
