FAASTeam Notice
Type: Local Air Safety Information
Notice Date: Friday, December 1, 2023
Notice Number: NOTC3320
Runway 18/36 Closed at KBYH, Arkansas International
This notice expired on
Tuesday, January 30, 2024

Starting December 4th and running for about forty-five days, there will be construction on the runway to repair some areas.

Arkansas International is non-towered, but runway incursions can certainly happen here.  The difference is that towered airports document the incursions and surface incidents where there's no one to do so at a non-towered field.  That also means there's no extra set of eyes to save you from pilot error, so be vigilant.

Another note about this airport is that military aircraft are allowed to operate on the parallel taxiway (Taxiway A) southbound only between Taxiway B and Taxiway D.

Please be logical, predictable and courteous with your taxiing, takeoffs and landings during this time.  As stated above, there's no control tower here for aircraft separation.
