Coming This June to the New England Area! High Altitude Training
This notice expired on
Monday, June 26, 2023

The FAA’s Civil Aerospace Medical Institute’s (CAMI) Portable Reduced Oxygen Training Enclosure (PROTE) device will be in the New England area at Bridgewater State University’s Aviation Center at the New Bedford Airport (KEWB).

This is one of the best ways that General Aviation Pilots can experience and learn more about hazards, symptoms and effects of higher altitude flight operations. This is not to be missed, as this opportunity does not come around often. We will have 150+ slots available and is a great opportunity for schools, operators, clubs and individual pilots of all types. Expect about 1 hour total for your assigned/sign-up block.

Dates will be Wed June 21 through Sat June 24th.

There are some requirements for pilots that sign up, no exceptions, as you will be required to present these documents at your allotted time:

AGE – 18 years old or older only

FAA Medical - At least current & valid Basic Med or Third class (or greater) medical.

So get a medical or update now!

Look for the FAASAFETY.GOV  SPANS announcement later in the week/weekend with a Sign-up link.

We are all looking forward to seeing you there!

Stephen K. Brown (Boston FPM), New England FAASTeam, CAMI and Bridgewater State Aviation.
