Louis Grasse is a nationally recognized FAA Drone Pro and Lead Pro Representative based in Las Vegas, now entering his fifth year in the role. He has led one of the largest organized drone deployments in U.S. history—directing teams responsible for inspecting over 40,000 structures, wind turbines, and substations across California for major utility providers including the CPUC, PG&E, SDG&E, and Edison Electric all surrounding the devastating Paradise fires in California. His work has been instrumental in FEMA-led S&R recovery efforts in Malibu, and in post-hurricane operations across Florida, Texas, North Carolina, and Puerto Rico.
With over 10 years and 6,500 logged flight hours of UAS flight experience, Louis has completed thousands of electrical and cell tower inspections throughout the East Coast and Midwest, and has flown LIDAR, thermal, and infrastructure missions on a global scale. As a crew chief, he has trained and managed teams of 20+ pilots, authored operational protocols on risk management and NOTAM procedures, and continues to set standards in flight safety and efficiency.
A student pilot actively pursuing his sport license, Louis also runs a full-time audio-video media company and provides high-level expertise in drone cinematography, technical training, and mission planning. |
