I am most current in sUAS / Remote Pilot Topics.
-sUAS / Aerial Drones: I currently teach FAA Part 107 Initial Qualification sUAS (drone) courses for technical colleges, industry and a few Public Safety clients as an independent contractor for Cross Flight Sky Solutions / Cross Flight Education, LLC in Bluffton, SC. In addition, am the sole proprietor for Blue Sky Aerial Solutions, LLC, a small UAS provider.
-Education: BS in Business, University of TN ('79), MS in Systems Management, Golden Gate University ('90), MS in Aeronautical Science from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University ('07). Taught graduate and undergraduate courses for Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University to adult students at the Seymour-Johnson AFB, NC and Greenville, SC Campuses: Taught courses in aviation mishap investigation, human factors, and the airline industry. Retired NC High School teacher. Managed an Air Force JROTC program for 16 years teaching courses in leadership, aerospace science and aviation history and pilot ground school (Jeppesen Course) to high school students.

I can “speak” and understand fixed most fixed wing heavy jet domestic and international operations, GA and human factor issues but my experience is dated. All of the below took place between 1980 and 2001.

-Aviation Safety Messaging: Former editor (Chief of Safety Publications) for Air Force Flying Safety (aviation safety), Road and Rec (ground safety) and Nuclear Surety (nuclear weapons safety) magazines at the (then) Air Force Safety Agency, Kirtland AFB, NM. Graduate of the USAF Mishap Investigation (Flight Safety officer?) course and Chief of Safety Courses.
-Heavy / Jet Operations: Former AF Command Pilot/instructor/evaluator in the KC-135R. Pilot/Instructor in the KC-10A. Conducted initial pilot aircraft and aerial refueling qualification in the KC-135R. Instructor in full visibility /6 degrees of freedom simulators for the KC-135R. Graduate, USAF Pilot Training; Graduate USAF/USCG Inland Search and Rescue School.
Advanced Instrument Flight - Instructor in advanced instrument flight assigned to the (then) Strategic Air Command Instrument Flight Course specializing in ICAO operations / TERPS and low visibility flight operations.
