I have PhD in Industrial & Systems Engineering, and I direct the University of Wisconsin-Madison's (UW) Flight Simulation Research Laboratory, which is an FAA Center of Excellence for aviation research. I teach Human Factors & Ergonomics, Accident Investigation and Human Performance and courses on manned and unmanned aviation at UW. My research has been funded by the FAA for over a decade to mitigate weather-related aircraft accidents using advanced simulation and training techniques. My strengths are human performance, simulation and modeling, system safety, artificial intelligence, and data science & analytics. |
