Title:
General Aviation Operations Over Water
Topic:
What to Do With Wet Feet
Speaker(s):
Dennis Miller, CFI, and 2023 National FAASTeam Representative of the Year
Brief Description:
Planning and knowledge of over-water pre-flight and in-flight processes and procedures can reduce the frequency of forced water landing and the severity of consequences should a pilot be forced to ditch. Basic survival knowledge and equipment can greatly improve chances of surviving after a ditching, but the most important factor in any emergency situation is an individual's will to survive.
