With over 8,000 VFR flying hours in the Alaska Bush, mostly under 1,000’ AGL, George Campbell has a wide range of experience including flying Mail all four seasons using floats, wheels and skis between delivering hunters, fishermen, visitors, and locals to intended destinations. George was born and raised in Southeast Alaska. He grew up outdoors, hunting and fishing at every opportunity. At 13 years of age, he had begun commercial fishing for halibut, salmon and crab, eventually owning his own boat. In the mid 1990’s he created and operated a single pilot 135 air carrier service specializing in bear watching and fly fishing. He has since worked in many parts of Alaska for lodges and air taxi services, flying many types of aircraft from Cubs to Beavers, and has served as a company instructor for two different air taxis flying multiple types of aircraft.
