Brief Description:

Mr. Paul Osterman will discuss what the FAR's allow you to do with regards to maintenance/preventative maintenance.   Mr. Osterman has built two RV aircraft and is an Advanced Ground Instructor, currently studying for his Certified Flight Instructor certificate.  He has first-hand knowledge (on the topic) and has been in numerous recent discussion with a FAA Maintenace Inspector from the Sacramento FAA Flight Standards District Office.

Some other information will be provided by a couple of other guest speakers to supplement Mr. Ostermans's presentation.

Directions to Venue:

DRIVING: Follow your GPS to the WEST side of Benton Airport....... park anywhere along the fence to the north and west of the Quonset Hut.... enter the HUT through the MAN gate at the north side of the HUT.

Flying:  Taxi to the south side of the SUN SHADE open hangars on the west side of Benton airport, then walk 300 feet to the Quonset Hut and enter through the man gate on the north side.

This will be the 134th monthly consecutive safety seminar for pilots at Benton airport under the new FAA Safety Team Concept (12 yrs now, the longest in the nation).... and each safety seminar has been hosted by the EAA Chapter 157.   What a terrific contribution by first-hand group of people.... each month they provide a meeting space, coffee, donuts, chairs, LCD projector/big screen tv, PA system, set up and take down...... 134 monthly events.......
