Title:
Meet a Potomac Approach Controller
Topic:
Refresher course on the SFRA and communicating with Potomac Approach
Date and Time:
Saturday, October 23, 2021, starting at 13:00 Eastern Daylight Time Download Calendar File
Speaker(s):
Randy Horner
Brief Description:

The US air traffic control system is the largest and most complex in the world. The human face of this system consists of the air traffic controllers at the towers, TRACON (approach/departure control) and ARTCC (centers). Pilots flying in the Baltimore/Washington area flying IFR, using flight following, or traversing the SFRA utilize the services provided by Potomac Approach.

This webinar is presented by Mr. Randy Horner, Air Traffic Control Support Specialist at Potomac Consolidated TRACON. Mr. Horner will discuss the SFRA and insure pilots are knowledgeable on the ins and outs of operating in the SFRA.

There will also be a time for questions that pilots might have about flying in the Potomac Approach airspace. This is an excellent opportunity for pilots to learn how to fly more safely and efficiently in the national airspace.
