Title:
Angle of Attack
Topic:
Angle of Attack
Date and Time:
Saturday, September 25, 2021, starting at 10:00 Central Daylight Time Download Calendar File
Speaker(s):
Dennis Wayne Miller, CFI; FAASTeam Safety Representative of the Year 2019 and 2020
Brief Description:

The General Aviation Joint Steering Committee encourages the General Aviation community to install and use angle-of-attack systems for better awareness of the stall margin. Studies suggest that a significant number of General Aviation accidents could have been prevented had the airman been trained how to identify stalls through both hands-on visuals and AOA technology.

Acquiring experience in a wide range of environments improves overall pilot performance. Installing new technology on an aircraft goes beyond the installation to becoming comfortable with an additional piece of equipment and how it can help the pilot.
