Title:
54 Years Into 10 Minutes
Topic:
Dealing With An In-Flight Emergency.
Brief Description:
An engine failure is something we all trained for when we earned our certificates, but how often do we think about it or practice our procedures in our day to day flying? Share one pilot’s experience when the real thing happened; things done right, things done wrong, and lessons learned.
Rich Jensen is a is an FAA Master Pilot and a Gold Seal CFI who learned to fly at Long Beach Airport in 1966 at the age of 17. He earned his professional certifications while at UCSB and began his aviation career with Mercury Aviation before relocating to Santa Maria in 1989. With the exception of a few years flying for a regional airline, his entire career has been dedicated to general aviation. Although he largely retired in 2015, Rich remains active as an FAAST Team member and continues to provide limited flight instruction.
