Title:
Go Around Reluctance
Speaker(s):
Scott Cabot, Egor Cheranev, Lucia Nieto
Brief Description:
Why Do Pilots Crash Their Airplanes?
Through a combination of presentation and group discussion this seminar will explore why pilots who are faced with a situation requiring a go around are sometimes reluctant to do so. Topics will include hazardous attitudes that contribute go around reluctance, review of stabilized approach criteria, situations that require a rejected landing and how to fly a go around at towered and non towered airports. Specific training addressing go around reluctance will be covered.
You will walk away from this seminar briefing with a better understanding why so many of these accidents could have been prevented in the first place through proper training and decision making.
