Brief Description:

As a Designated Pilot Examiner (DPE) Mark has administered over 500 practical tests in airplanes and gliders. During these tests he has found there are common factors which can contribute to an applicant’s success as well as failure. Mark will couple his decades of experience as a hands-on flight instructor and Chief Instructor with his experiences as a DPE to help bring you information to help ensure your readiness for the Private Pilot – Airplane and Commercial Pilot – Airplane practical tests. Join Mark for this informational and objective event. Audience participation is strongly encouraged.

Directions to Venue:

From the south, go up HWY 27 then take FL 60 W towards Tampa for 8.3 miles. Then turn right onto Rifle Range Road, for 2.8 miles, then turn left onto Bomber Road for 2.8 miles. Turn left onto Ben Durrance for 0.2 miles, turn Right onto Beechcraft for 0.4 miles, turn Left onto Cessna, for 0.3miles, then onto Airport Blvd on your left and follow to the FBO. 
From Orlando,  take I-4 W to exit 41 Fl 570 W for 11 miles, then take exit 14 onto FL-540 W, turn into left lane to merge onto 540 E. Take right to Thornbill Rd follow approx 3.5 miles, onto Spirit Lake Rd, for 1.8 miles, to Airport Blvd, to the FBO. 
From Tampa, take I-4 E to exit 27 to FL 540 E, Take right to Thornbill Rd follow approx 3.5 miles, onto Spirit Lake Rd, for 1.8 miles, to Airport Blvd, to the FBO.

ATP. MCFI, Gold Seal - CFI-A, CFI -I, CFI - ME, CFI - SEA, CFI - GL, Ground Instructor. 

Flying since 1973, Mark is a Designated Pilot Examiner, (airplane and glider) proudly serving for the Orlando FSDO, 2017 District, Region and National FAAST Team Representative of the Year, 2016 District and Regional Flight Instructor of the Year, Master and Gold Seal Flight Instructor with 7000+ hours of dual and ground instruction given. Abinitio Sport Pilot through ATP Flight training to FAA standards provided. Extensive single pilot practical experience traveling through North America VFR and IFR utilizing the ATC system with a variety of single/multi aircraft in real weather. Train to IMC for all ratings requiring instrument time including private,  airplane, Glider, Seaplane, Sport, Hi-Perf, Complex, Multi endorsement training provided. Night, /mountain and upset training available. Member Aviation Rulemaking Committee Designated Pilot Examiner Reform Workgroup.WINGS program & AOPA Pinch Hitter course supported. Mark helps promote safety and training n a FUN, Positive, and Non-Threatening manner.
