Brief Description:

This seminar will present a review of what's required for legal return for service.

Recall that the owner/operator(pilot) is responsible to ensure that any maintenance, preventive maintenance, alteration over overhaul of the airplane must be entered into the appropriate airplane log(s) prior to approval for return to service.

The legal requirements for  the return to service is an appropriate AMT/IA must enter into the maintenance record the following entries:

1. Description of the work performed; 2. Fate; 3. Signature; and 4. Certificate Number.

If you fly without an approval for return to service, and something happens, you will get to meet the NTSB Administrative Law Judge. The meeting will be all you. The mechanic won’t be there. Don’t take an Airplane without seeing the Approval for Return to service!

Pageland Airport, KPYG, is located between Lancaster and Cheraw, East of Pageland on US 9.  From Monroe, NC drive South US 601.  US 601 joins US 9S just West of Pageland, continue eastbound through Pageland to Airport Road, State Road S-13-43. Turn right onto Airport Road and proceed to Clarence Jordan Lane (just prior to runway).  Turn right onto Clarence Jordan Lane.  The Airport FBO, 167 Airport Road, is the gray house left side of road.

From Lancaster or Cheraw, take US 9 toward Pageland. From Lancaster eastbound on US 9 through Pageland to Airport Road, State Road S-13-43.  Turn right onto Airport Road and proceed to Clarence Jordan Lane (just prior to runway).  Turn right onto Clarence Jordan Lane.  The Airport FBO, 167 Airport Road, is the gray house left side of road.

From Cheraw westbound on US 9 to Airport Road, State Road S-13-43. Turn left onto Airport Road and proceed to Clarence Jordan Lane (just prior to runway).  Turn right onto Clarence Jordan Lane.  The Airport FBO, 167 Airport Road, is the gray house left side of road.

From Kershaw, drive North on US 601 to join US 9 in Pageland. Continue on US 9 through Pageland to Airport Road, State Road S-13-43. Turn right onto Airport Road and proceed to Clarence Jordan Lane (just prior to runway).  Turn right onto Clarence Jordan Lane.  The Airport FBO, 167 Airport Road, is the gray house left side of road.
