Brief Description:

Laurence Balter is the owner and Chief Flight instructor for Maui Flight Academy as well as Newport Flight Academy and is the President of iflyaoa.com a company devoted to Angle of Attack Awareness and training.

His YouTube channel called “Cirrus Instructor” has thousands of subscribers and hundreds of thousands of views from around the world with many videos devoted to Angle of Attack training.  His Facebook group “Pilots that Fly Angle of Attack” is open to pilots who are always learning.

He has over 11,000 hours flying experience with over 10,000 landings instructed, mostly in his Cirrus SR22.

He holds the ATP, CFII and CSIP (Cirrus Standardized Instructor Pilot) ratings and earned his Bachelors Degree in Physics from the University of California San Diego
