Title:
Transition Training
Topic:
Transitioning between aircraft models and types
Date and Time:
Thursday, June 28, 2018, starting at 19:00 Pacific Daylight Time Download Calendar File
Speaker(s):
Smokey Young
Brief Description:

When we think of transition training the first thought that comes to mind is moving from a single engine fixed gear airplane to a high horsepower complex aircraft or one with advanced avionics. However all aircraft have different aerodynamic and flight characteristics. With the proliferation of homebuilt aircraft on the used market as well as light sport aircraft we need to be aware that transition to a "lower performance" aircraft can be just as challenging.  In this seminar we will discuss some basic aerodynamic aspects of different aircraft as well as syllabus and other training considerations with a focus on moving from a certificated aircraft to a homebuilt or light sport.
