This presentation includes a review of Thunderstorm Penetration Tests by DZ Skalla the only real documented in depth testing of thunderstorm penetrations, over 200, in the SETP Pilots Handbook. In addition, included are the speaker's personal thunderstorm penetration experiences and the numerous commercial aircraft accidents and incidents involving thunderstorm penetrations in late 2015 alone. In researching the AF 447 accident and others similar it is alarming that thunderstorms are not understood by flight crews or traffic controllers nor are the dangers they pose to aircraft. Additionally, the lack of knowledge of aerodynamics is of serious concern. After extensive review of all documentation available, personal research and discussions with knowledgeable experts it is obvious the A-330 was in a deep stall throughout its descent.

Dinner available @ 6 P.M. Cost is associated with Dinner. See Website for Details. Presentation @ 7 P.M.
