Title:
WINGS and Proficiency (past event - 6/5/24)
Topic:
Guided discussion - The FAA WINGS Program & Proficiency
Date and Time:
Wednesday, July 3, 2024, starting at 19:00 Eastern Daylight Time Download Calendar File
Speaker(s):
John Tenney
Brief Description:

Are you a a Proficient Pilot?  It's a subjective self-determination, but you and I know if we are "just legal" (3 T/O's and Landings in the last 90 days and a short Flight Review every two years), or we are truly proficient (learning something new and having our skills professionally evaluated with suggestions for improvement.)

The FAA WINGS Pilot Proficency Program has multiple opportunities to improve our knowledge about flying and to plan efficient proficiency training exercises.  Use of the WINGS program will provide the chance for each of us to become more knowledgeable and safer pilots.  The WINGS program website (www.FAASafety.Gove) is often misunderstood or becomes frustrating for pilots who are unable to quickly find the information they desire, and many pilots discontinue using it as a result.

This 2-hour seminar will offer a though explanation of the WINGS program, how to navigate the website, use of E-Z WINGS, describe the benefits of its use for pilots, and other topics.
