Date and Time:
Saturday, January 13, 2024, starting at 10:00 Eastern Standard Time Download Calendar File
Speaker(s):
Tim McSwain, FAASTeam Representative
Brief Description:

A Power Point presentation that supports the program and a folder containing background information will be presented. The presenter will customize this presentation to include discussions of examples of lowered standards and how experience may contribute to that loss.

We will discuss the normalization process, how that normalization leads to lower standards, the signs of normalization, how experience can add to it, and examples from accident reports that may have resulted from it.

We will also suggest resources and practices that can help pilot recognize normalization an various methods of dealing with it so as to prevent loss of safety margins in General Aviation operations.
