Brief Description:

Desiree Ekstein, aka Drone Diva Desi, will discuss frequently asked questions from the sUAS industry and answer your questions.  Anyone interested in knowing about safe UAS operations is invited, invite any recreational or commercial UAS (drone) operators you know. 

Prior to attending a safety seminar in person, please review and abide by Current CDC, State and Local Health Guidelines.

Directions to Venue:

Take I-805 South to 905, exit onto 905 East toward Otay Mesa border crossing. Exit at Britannia, turn left onto Britannia and proceed to Otay Mesa Road.  Turn left onto Otay Mesa Road, turn right at Cactus Road into Brown Field main entrance. Turn right to follow Continental St past the old (closed) control tower and The Landing Strip restaurant/bar to the East access gate. Follow instructions on the access pedestal to call EAA Chapter 14 for access. Proceed East to EAA Chapter 14, just East of the active control tower. Meetings are held in the first hangar closest to the runway.

Desiree Ekstein is known better in the industry as Drone Diva Desi.  Desi is an Adjunct Instructor of Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) at TCI MiraCosta College, in Carlsbad California.   She has over 7 years of remote piloting experience, is an FAA Certified 107 Remote Pilot in Command (RPIC),  and an AUVSI TOP Level 3 instructor/pilot status.  She is also a Lead Representative FAA UAS/DronePro in San Diego California, and a UAS Safety Advisor for Women and Drones.  She is an international public speaker and published author for sUAS safety.
