Title:
sUAS/Drones for Public Safety
Topic:
The use of sUAS for First Responders, Law Enforcement, Search & Rescue, and other public services.
Date and Time:
Saturday, November 17, 2018, starting at 10:00 Mountain Standard Time Download Calendar File
Speaker(s):
Sarah Nilsson, Esq; Tina Buskirk, Scottsdale FSDO; Ernie Copeland, Scottsdale FSDO; Prof. David G. Iadevaia
Brief Description:

The proper use of sUAS in public safety is sometimes hindered by differences in familiarity concerning which technology is appropriate for a specific use, as well as the legal and regulatory requirements that must be met. This seminar will examine such requirements as they apply directly to the public safety arena. Specifically, Search & Rescue, First Responder usage, and tasks that assist local law enforcement will be discussed. Several types of sUAS will be explained and displayed to illustrate what technology is appropriate for each purpose.
