Title:
EAA Chapter 563 VMC Club
Topic:
Look Out, Dear
Date and Time:
Sunday, November 22, 2026, starting at 18:30 Central Standard Time Download Calendar File
Speaker(s):
Killian Madeley
Brief Description:

This Sunday, November 22nd at 6:30 PM, please join us in the EAA 563 hangar for our monthly VMC club meeting and scenario review! We will discuss a proposed flight in which a pilot impacts a deer after a late go-around and is left unsure of the damage to the aircraft structure, including its retractable gear system. With the sun sinking lower on the horizon, would you elect to try landing again on the same runway or head elsewhere to a field with potentially bigger runways and more services? Key discussion points include go-around technique, crew resource management, and in-flight aircraft damage assessments. We will also review our EAA Question of the Month.
