Title:
EAA Chapter 129 VMC Club Meeting
Topic:
VFR Preflight Weather Briefings: ForeFlight and Leidos Compared
Brief Description:
A clear sky at departure may hide changing conditions along your route. Join EAA Chapter 129 VMC Club on October 10 to explore what makes a thorough, useful VFR preflight weather briefing.
We’ll review FAA preflight responsibilities under 14 CFR 91.103 and compare online briefings from ForeFlight and Leidos Flight Service using the same sample flight. Topics include weather hazards and trends, forecasts, winds, PIREPs, NOTAMs, TFRs, personal minimums, and briefing updates.
Bring your questions and share your experience as we turn weather information into practical go/no-go decisions.
WINGS credit is available as listed on the FAA Safety Team event page. Register at FAASafety.gov and ensure your attendance is recorded to receive credit. All experience levels are welcome. Bring a friend!

EAA VMC Clubs are extensions to local EAA chapters and offer monthly VMC program meetings where pilots can network and share knowledge and experiences.
