Lee Collins currently serves as President and Chief Executive Officer of the National Flight Training Alliance (NFTA), bringing a wealth of leadership experience and a passion for aviation to his role. Early in his career, he was involved in flight training and eventually owned a 141 Flight Training Center in Louisville, KY. In later years, his career spanned both Corporate and 135 Flight Operations, as well as the Regional and Major Airline industries.  As an Airline Captain, Lee demonstrated unwavering commitment to safety and excellence, maintaining final authority and responsibility for flights worldwide. Throughout his long career, Lee has held significant leadership roles in various aviation organizations, including Philanthropic, Government and Legislative Affairs, Airline Operations, Flight Safety and Security. He was also instrumental in driving culture transformation and rebranding efforts during his tenure as President of an Airline Pilot Trade Association, where he demonstrated strong leadership and vision on a variety of important issues before our nation's airline industry. In his current role as CEO of NFTA, Lee is dedicated to leading this groundbreaking organization towards new horizons, leveraging his extensive experience in governmental and legislative affairs, organizational design, strategic vision, and leadership.

This presentation is offered during the 2026 ASCEND Flight Training Summit.
