Title:
Elevating Safety Through Professionalism
Topic:
Exploring The Inter-Relationship of Safety and Professionalism
Date and Time:
Saturday, September 19, 2026, starting at 10:00 Eastern Daylight Time Download Calendar File
Speaker(s):
Michael Emmerich FAASTeam Program Manager Cleveland FSDO
Brief Description:

Safety and professionalism are the cornerstones of aviation. Yet, as these standards become the baseline, they are increasingly taken for granted. We often rely on our intuitive understanding of safety, allowing past successes to breed present complacency. The reality of human factors is that we are all susceptible to lapses, normalized deviance, and subtle shifts in cultural norms. This seminar will bridge the gap between simply holding the title of a professional and actively practicing professionalism, equipping you with the tools to remain vigilant, and a proactive advocate for safety. Pancake Breakfast begins at 8:00am - Airport Day and Safety Seminars to follow. 1 Hour of safety instructional material will be presented. WINGS Credit applicable.
