Title:
Gusty Winds Cause Gusty Predicaments
Topic:
Don't Get Caught Up in Crosswinds
Date and Time:
Thursday, September 10, 2026, starting at 18:00 Central Daylight Time Download Calendar File
Speaker(s):
Kathy Ihde
Brief Description:

How well do you know your weather products and understand crosswind landings? Do you know how to identify the potential for crosswinds and when they will increase throughout the day? When did you last practice crosswind landings with an instructor?

Come to this seminar to get an insight on weather theory and the weather products to help you predict when those pesky winds will make landings a little more challenging. We will examine accidents where the pilots encountered Gusty Predicaments and examine their outcomes so that you don't fall victim to the same mistakes!

Your Presenter Kathy Ihde, CFI CFII MEI,  will lead the discussion and will answer your questions in this interactive seminar.
