This seminar highlights procedures pilots should use to plan a long VFR cross country flight and safely arrive at Air Venture (Oshkosh).

Teaching points:

  • Route selection to include refueling stops and navigating around Chicago airspace
  • Weather sources, analyzing weather trends and the pre departure weather briefing 
  • Air Traffic Control, what to expect and how to fly the Fisk Arrival
  • Lessons learned from previous Air Venture flights
