This presentation covers the fundamentals of owner-operator preventive maintenance under 14 CFR Part 43. Topics include:

  • Who is authorized to perform preventive maintenance
  • Preventive maintenance items listed in 14 CFR Part 43 Appendix A
  • Limitations for student, recreational, sport, private, commercial, and ATP pilots
  • Required maintenance record entries
  • Use of current manufacturer maintenance manuals and acceptable methods, techniques, and practices
  • Common mistakes and examples of work that is not preventive maintenance

Join us for a practical discussion on staying within the regulations, making proper logbook entries, and knowing when a certificated mechanic or inspection authorization is required.
