Brief Description:

What happens when high performance turbine flying meets real-world emergencies and pilot decision making? Join us for an in-depth look at Cessna Citation operations, emergency scenarios, and the thought process required to safely manage high-workload situations in turbine aircraft.

This seminar will explore PIC responsibility, FAR 61 and 91 operational compliance, crew resource management, weather hazards, IFR operational considerations, anti-icing, wake turbulence, wind shear, CFIT awareness, fuel management, aircraft systems knowledge, runway and crosswind limitations, alternate airport planning, ATC compliance, and emergency considerations unique to Citation operations.

Drawing from decades of worldwide FAR Part 135 turbine experience, attendees will gain insight into how professional jet crews prepare, think, and make decisions in demanding operational environments.

About the Speaker:
Guest Speaker Stelios Rapis has been involved with aviation safety seminars since 1978 through the Van Nuys FSDO and has presented numerous seminars at Van Nuys Airport over the years. He is an active CFI-I and AMEL instructor for both airplanes and helicopters, an FAA certificated A&P mechanic, and holds 16 jet type ratings with worldwide turbine flying experience. Stelios has operated under FAR Part 135 for over 40 years and brings extensive real-world operational knowledge to Citation flying, turbine safety, and emergency decision making.
