Topic:
Managing the Modern Cockpit
Speaker(s):
Adam Kellum, Brendan Conner, Ben Curlee
Brief Description:
Today’s IFR cockpit can range from traditional six-pack instrumentation to fully integrated glass panels loaded with automation. “Managing the Modern Cockpit" is designed to help pilots better understand the avionics systems they fly behind and how to use them effectively without becoming overwhelmed by them.
This seminar explores a variety of avionics setups commonly found in training and general aviation aircraft, along with practical discussions on workflow, automation management, and common pilot mistakes. We will focus on building familiarity with different systems, understanding their capabilities and limitations, and staying ahead of the airplane as cockpit workload increases.
Technology should reduce workload, not create it. In this two hour event you will learn how to use modern avionics as a tool instead of a distraction.
