Title:
EAA Chapter 75 IMC Club
Topic:
Angle of Attack Awareness, IFR Quiz, and RNAV Approach Traps Leading to CFIT
Date and Time:
Tuesday, April 7, 2026, starting at 18:00 Central Daylight Time Download Calendar File
Speaker(s):
Dan Murphy, Bernie Nitz, Bob Weil
Brief Description:

Join us for an enlightening FAASTeam presentation on 'Angle of Attack (AOA) Awareness.' This session offers invaluable insights into understanding angle of attack and its correlation to stall conditions during flight. Mastering AOA and using an AOA indicator can help prevent inadvertent stalls, thereby enhancing flight safety.

IFR Quiz: Test your knowledge with our interactive IFR Quiz.

RNAV Approach Traps: This presentation provides an in-depth discussion on Area Navigation (RNAV) approaches. Understanding RNAV approaches and their potential hazards can help prevent accidents and reduce the risk of Controlled Flight Into Terrain (CFIT).

We will also discuss establishing decision triggers during pre-flight for situations that might occur during the RNAV arrival.
