Event Details and Registration

Any pilot no matter what their experience level needs to ensure they fully understand their autopilot and GPS coordination to be successful in IFR operations.  Errors in programming and button use can create crazy situations where you get behind the airplane.

EAA/IMC Club, through the EAA's global Chapter structure, provides organized "hangar flying" focused on building instrument flying knowledge and skills.  The program's network promotes a safety culture through continued education and develops safety through education and real life experience. Monthly meetings offer an opportunity to share in-flight experiences and valuable safety tips.

Through the FAA Safety Program, aviation professionals provide informative WINGS presentations.  You do not have to be an instrument rated pilot to attend.  Membership in the EAA/IMC Club is encouraged but not required to participate in this meeting.

Flying In - Hit Direct To for KBAZ and talk to Austin approach control from the North and San Antonio approach control from the South.  Ask the tower to park by the airport terminal.

Driving In - Take the Highway 46 exit off of IH-35 to the SouthEast and turn left on FM 758.  Airport will be on the left.

Walking In - Probably Not!  Take a Taxi or Ride Share.

What is the EAA/IMC Club? 

EAA/IMC Club is a volunteer mentor program to help instrument pilots improve their proficiency.

What is the purpose of EAA/IMC Club?

At EAA/IMC Club, our aim is to promote instrument flying, proficiency, and safety.  Along with IFR flying and monthly local meetings, we offer a resource-rich website which provides an electronic experience base.

Our intent is to create a community of pilots to share information, provide recognition, foster communications, promote safety and build proficiency in instrument flying.  EAA/IMC Club offer monthly meetings in which pilots can network and share knowledge and experiences.

Do you need to bring anything?

First, bring your thoughts or story and be willing to share them with the group.  This meeting is very interactive.  Participation by the group is a fundamental element to the EAA/IMC Club meeting.

Others have found it helpful to bring along a copy of their flight manual, GPS manual, and charts.  If you navigate with an iPad, bring it along.

Who can attend?

You don't need an instrument rating to attend.  This meeting is open to all current, non-current, and future instrument pilots.
