Brief Description:

This session discusses the differences between weather accuracy and representativeness, and a review of incidents and misconceptions. Tips for determining the representativeness of weather information and FAA research to develop decision support tools to assist pilots with this challenge will be presented. The session will also discuss risks associated with interpolating weather conditions when proximate sensors provide disparate information.
