This seminar is not meant as a lecture but rather an open discussion forum using real world scenarios to increase your level of safety in the IFR environment such as this scenario: Late-Night-Pickup. Single Pilot IFR can be challenging add in late night, low ceilings, pilot-controlled airport, canceling IFR early and continuing VFR the level of difficulty and risk can be increased several folds.
To ensure a safe flight your priorities as PIC are to Aviate, Navigate & Communicate. Safe instrument flying is a matter of mitigating risk, personal minimums and standard operating procedures. The Sheboygan Falls (WI) EAA 766 IMC Club provides organized “hangar flying” focused on building proficiency in instrument flying. An instrument rating is not required for attendance.
