Title:
Tool Box Talk - The Field Approval of Major Repairs or Alterations - Hybrid Event
Topic:
The Third of Multiple Events Focusing on the Field Approval of Major Alterations or Repairs
Speaker(s):
Brandon Parker
Brief Description:
In the first week, we dove back into a discussion on the Field Approval process where we discussed four different case studies of unapproved major alterations that resulted in accidents. We covered what is needed for certification under the regulatory framework, what data might be required (and why), and we discussed what constitutes a Major Alteration. In the second week, we discussed the Advisory Circular that covers the submission of your application. And, we discussed what might require placarding compared to what could require a Flight Manual Supplement and who can approve each. On January 21st, we'll use the tools to work through building a Field Approval request.
