Brief Description:
Mike Stubblefield, Destin Executive Airport Control Tower Manager, will discuss overall airport operations during the past year. This will include, operations numbers, a review of incidents of the past year with a look at pilot deviations and runway excursions. Mike will also discuss a new FAA Notice titled, 'Arrival Alert Notices (AAN)'. They relate to ground operations, are depicted in graphic form and address "wrong surface events" where an aircraft lines up or lands on the incorrect runway or airport. Destin will have such a graphic notice soon. Over the years a number of pilots have landed at Eglin AFB unintentionally, the most recent within the last 3 months. Also, keep in mind that many Destin pilots travel to airports that will have such information now. Ray Mansfield will present a power point show of the new Weather Camera System for pilots. Time will be allowed at the end of the meeting for questions and suggestions from attendees on making the airport flight and ground operations safer and more efficient.

Enter the airport from Airport Road, turn left upon entering when passing the airport sign. Follow this road behind the large hangar on the right, follow the airport fence along the airport parking ramp, past a number of hangars to the parking lot at the North FBO building. Park in the parking lot and enter the building by the doors under the drive-through awning, proceed to the far end of the building.
