Title:
EAA IMC Club - Winter Flying and Late Night Pickup
Topic:
Increasing Flight Safety by Planning a Flight With Options
Date and Time:
Wednesday, January 14, 2026, starting at 19:00 Eastern Standard Time Download Calendar File
Speaker(s):
Mark Hanson
Brief Description:

This month's topic is Late Night Pickup and Winter Flying Operations. How do you plan your flight to give yourself options in the event that it doesn't go as planned?  Bring your EFB, your experience, and your questions, and be ready to participate.  All are welcome.

The EAA IMC Club provides a "hangar flying" experience organized around instrument flight, in order to promote safety, education, and proficiency.  Topics change monthly.

Every meeting consists of a short IMC scenario presentation followed by a group discussion,  discussions of unusual or interesting charts, changed rules and procedures, and sharing of personal experiences. At times there are Guest Speakers.

All pilots (and students) are welcome.  You do not need to be an EAA member or instrument pilot to attend.
