Brief Description:

This seminar is not meant as a lecture but rather an open discussion forum using real world scenarios to increase your level of safety in the IFR environment such as this scenario: Surprisingly Low Ceiling.  Before taking to the skies, it is important to check all available weather information.  Looking at surface analysis, weather depiction diagrams, skew-T/log diagrams, PIREP data, and don’t forget you can call a flight service specialists to help with any weather questions / information.

To ensure a safe flight your priorities as PIC are to Aviate, Navigate & Communicate.  Safe instrument flying is a matter of mitigating risk, personal minimums and standard operating procedures.  The Sheboygan Falls (WI) EAA 766 IMC Club provides organized “hangar flying” focused on building proficiency in instrument flying.  An instrument rating is not required for attendance.
