Join us in Truckee for the final Fly Safe Seminar of the year. This month’s event is all about how to plan for and safely navigate our snowy mountain airport this winter. Dawn Johnson from the National Weather Service will be here alongside TRK Operations Supervisor Mike Ketron and Director of Operations Vince Wawrzynski to showcase tools and services available for pilots to make better informed decisions. We’ll also explain the process of opening the airport after a sierra snowstorm shuts us down and how you can help ATC by sharing PIREPS and Breaking Action Reports.

About The Speakers:
Dawn Johnson is the Warning Coordination Meteorologist for NOAA/National Weather Service in Reno, NV and was previously the Aviation Program Manager. Mike Ketron has kept Truckee Airport operating smoothly since 2006 and is a Certified Flight Instructor. Vince Wawrzynski flew fighters for the Marines and has sailed solo around the world.
