EAA Chapter 770 IMC Club and Instrument Refresher
Topic:
Flight Instruments from an Instrument Pilot’s Perspective
Date and Time:
Thursday, November 13, 2025, starting at 18:30 Central Standard Time Download Calendar File
Speaker(s):
Carol Para
Brief Description:

Please join us Thursday evening, November 13th at 6:30pm for EAA Chapter 770's inaugural IMC club meeting. All are welcome whether you are an instrument rated pilot or not.

This program will be the first session of a series offering a review of instrument flight knowledge. It is intended as a refresher for those who are already rated, an introduction to instrument flight for prospective instrument students, and additional safety knowledge for student and private pilots. All are welcome.

We will be using Rod Machado's Instrument Flying Handbook as the source for the slides in this program. You do not need to own the book, but it is widely available as an ebook or hard copy should you choose to procure it. We will also be referencing the current edition of the FAR/AIM, FAA instrument Procedures Handbook, and FAA Instrument Flying Handbook.

Our first session will cover aircraft flight instruments from an instrument pilot's perspective.

Additional Event Information & Acknowledgement of Industry Sponsor(s):

The purpose of EAA Instrument Meteorological Conditions (IMC) Clubs is to promote instrument flying, proficiency, and safety. The intent is to create a community of pilots willing to share information, provide recognition, foster communications, promote safety, and build proficiency in instrument flying. EAA IMC Clubs are extensions to local EAA chapters and offer monthly IMC program meetings where pilots can network and share knowledge and experiences. Since 2017 our instrument pilots have improved their proficiency through the EAA IMC club programs and they love it.
